Campus Partners has selected Douglas L. Aschenbach as vice president for real estate development with responsibility for a series of urban development projects and neighborhood improvement initiatives, primarily in the University District.

Aschenbach, 42, comes to Campus Partners with 16 years of commercial real estate experience. Since 1994, he has been the sole proprietor of Guided Solutions, a commercial real estate consulting firm in Columbus.

Aschenbach was director of the real estate advisory division of W. Lyman Case & Company of Columbus from 1989-97. Previously, he was vice president of Karsten Realty Advisors in Los Angeles from 1985-89 and a staff accountant with Price Waterhouse in Philadelphia from 1981-83.

He is a 1981 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1985. He lives in Victorian Village and has an interest in urban development and historic preservation.

Campus Partners, founded in 1995, is a non-profit community urban redevelopment corporation established to lead a revitalization of the urban neighborhoods around Ohio State. Among the real estate projects which Campus Partners has under taken are the development of the mixed-use University Gateway Center and its affiliated 1,200-space parking facility and various housing initiatives.
