Casto Organization Arshot Investment Corporation LaSalle Partners Development, Inc., is a full-service national real estate development business working with corporate, institutional and governmental clients across the United States. The group is part of LaSalle Partners Management Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of LaSalle Partners Incorporated (NYSE: LAP), a leading global real estate services and investment management firm with headquarters in Chicago and nine other corporate offices across the country, including Columbus. LaSalle has extensive experience in the Columbus market following its acquisition of The Galbreath Co. in April 1997. Through LaSalle Partners Public Institutions Specialty, a group within LaSalle that serves the specific real estate needs of university and governmental clients, LaSalle Partners Development has completed numerous university development projects. Following a competitive bidding process, the group was selected to manage the design and construction of Phase I and Phase II the Sansom Common, a major mixed-use project at the University of Pennsylvania which includes a campus bookstore, 260-room hotel and retail elements. LaSalle Partners Development also managed the redevelopment of Union Station in Washington, D.C., and most recently Grand Central Terminal in New York, transportation terminals that offer retail, entertainment and office space. The Don M. Casto Organization is a full-service real estate company with headquarters in Columbus. The company has more than 70 years of experience in developing, managing and leasing retail, office and residential projects. A strategic goal of the company is to focus on the development and management for long-term ownership. Affiliated with the firm is Casto Communities, a residential development, construction and management company. Among its current projects, The Don M. Casto Organization is the owner and master developer of Albany Park, a major mixed-use development with apartments, single-family homes, community clubhouse, and retail and corporate office space in New Albany, Ohio, and a $50 million mixed-use development in Winter Park, Fla. Arshot Investment Corporation, created in Columbus in 1982, owns and manages 2.2 million square feet of mixed-use, office and retail space, including the recently renovated historic downtown Beggs Building. Arshot has made a serious commitment to preserve the urban fabric and original architecture of Columbus through the Beggs Building downtown and the Worly Building in the Brewery District. Another recent project is Bicentennial Plaza, a three-city-block, mixed-use development on the Scioto River in Columbus. The development team has identified the firm of Cooper Carry, Inc., and plans to select a local Columbus-based firm to serve as the architects on the gateway project. With offices in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., Cooper Carry is renowned for design excellence in office, retail, residential, hotel and "main street" mixed-use projects, including public-private joint ventures similar to the gateway center.
