Campus Parnters University Gateway Center
Proposal from LaSalle, Casto, Arshot

Every once in a while a project comes along that is truly a challenge and an inspiration. A chance to make a difference in the lives of the people that live, work, shop and play in the immediate neighborhood. An opportunity to leave a legacy for those who will live there in the future. The redevelopment of High Street at South Campus is such a project.

You asked if the name University Gateway Center was an appropriate one for this project. Our thoughtful answer is no. For this is not a center, it is a place. And it is not merely a gateway but a multi-block area that transitions the University to its next door neighborhood. Our name speaks to the Main Street response of our proposal. It is High Street at South Campus, a gateway to The Ohio State University.

LaSalle Partners, the Casto Companies and Arshot Investment Corporation are pleased to present this proposal and participate in what very well will be a landmark development not only for the University but for the greater Columbus community. For us, Columbus is our home and we applaud Campus Partners' forward thinking in transforming this historic artery back to its traditional role.

Our hope is that you will be delighted, inspired and excited by what you read and see in the pages of this booklet. Our desire is that we will be working with you in the days, weeks and months ahead to carve out a distinctive place on High Street, an area that will continue to please long after our work is done.

Years from now, when the street is crowded with a mix of residents, students and shoppers, we will be proud of our urban architectural design and the continuous streetscape and public areas that define High Street at South Campus.

We appreciate the opportunity to present our development proposal. We look forward to working with you on this development.

Sincerely,

Dean A. Lopez, LaSalle Partners
