The
Development Team Team members have worked in partnership with major institutions, local government agencies and community residents to deliver projects of recognized sensitivity and appropriateness to their context. Typically, the significant design decisions for these projects were products of frequent interaction with elected and appointed government officials, community residents, interest and advocacy groups, and other interested participants in the design and development review process. It is a team which is accustomed to working together and to working with the local community to ensure its appropriateness and responsiveness to local plans and policies. What particularly distinguishes this team, however, is that it is led by a single, well-established, multi-disciplinary real estate development and management company. One entity, The Druker Company, will be responsible for design management; community and government interaction; financial packaging, leasing, construction and management of the variety of commercial uses and residential spaces in University Gateway Center. We believe that managing the complexities associated with mixed-use, horizontally layered, urban development is best coordinated by one, hands-on development entity. The Druker Company will have a strong local presence in Columbus during the development of University Gateway Center as well as thereafter, for the ongoing management of the complex. For nearly a century, The Druker Company has been creating urban mixed-use complexes and as a result is very comfortable with the challenges presented by University Gateway Center. As the project progresses, a myriad of decisions will need to be made together by the developer and the local project sponsors. We believe our team is constituted to be able to communicate clearly, quickly and with one voice. The members of our design and development team are described on the following pages.
