Diner Man Richard J.S. Gutman received his Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell in 1972. Author of two books on the history and design of diners, he has consulted on more than 70 diner projects in the United States and abroad. In a front-page story, The Wall Street Journal said, "More than any other individual Richard Gutman has stimulated the revival of the quintessential eating establishment."
