Campus Partners Board of Directors
From its inception in 1995, Campus Partners was governed by a Board of Trustees. In October 2006, the existing governance structure for Campus Partners was dissolved and a new Board of Directors was appointed. The change reflected a desire that the Campus Partners Board of Directors be an engaged governing body for the organization with direct oversight of Campus Partners and its various activities.

The Campus Partners Board of Directors has seven“university directors” designated by the president of The Ohio State University and six “public directors” chosen by the members of the Campus Partners Board. The “university directors” must be officers or employees of Ohio State. The “public directors” are required not to be officers or employees of Ohio State.

The University Directors are:
  • Cheryl L. Achterberg, Dean of the College of Education and Human Ecology;
  • Javaune Adams-Gaston, Vice President for Student Life;
  • Joyce Beatty, Senior Vice President for Outreach and Engagement;
  • Christopher M. Culley, Senior Vice President for Legal Affairs;
  • Terry D. Foegler, Associate Vice President for Physical Planning and Real Estate
  • Brendan Foley, Vice President for Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Eric Kunz, Associate Vice President for Health Sciences, Chief Facilities and Materials Management Officer.

The Public Directors are:
  • Jonathan Beard, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Columbus Compact Corporation;
  • Alex Fischer, President and Chief Executive Officer, Columbus Partnership;
  • Kathleen Fox, FASLA, Executive Director of the Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission and resident;
  • Caroleen Wilkes, undergraduate student at Ohio State;
  • Boyce Safford III, Director of the Columbus Department of Development
  • Blake Thompson, Vice President for the Battelle/Ohio State Collaboration.

The Board of Directors has elected the following officers of Campus Partners:
  • Chair: Terry D. Foegler
  • Vice Chair: Eric Kunz
  • President: Douglas L. Aschenbach
  • Treasurer: Frank Bock
  • Secretary: Michael A. Mitchell
  • Assistant Secretary: Jim Heinen

The Board of Directors has three standing committees: Fiscal and Audit Committee, Investment and Asset Management Committee, and Planning and Community Development Committee.
