Campus Partners joins with University District civic leaders in advocating for an increased level of homeownership in the University District. The neighborhoods of the University District have a diverse housing stock, including renovated Victorian mansions, more modest homes from the first half of the 20th century, lower-cost houses which require rehabilitation in neighborhoods beginning a process of revitalization, and newly built condominiums.

In an effort to increase the level of homeownership in the University District, The Ohio State University in 1998 began its "Faculty and Staff Neighborhood Homeownership Incentive Program," which offers down-payment assistance to employees to purchase homes within the neighborhoods of the University District.
