Community-based planning undergirds the work of Campus Partners. Through good planning, the citizens and other key stakeholders in the University District have developed a common vision for their collaborative work, have identified key projects to implement the planning and have created an element of trust among the stakeholders. Campus Partners has engaged in three major planning efforts: -- With support from The Ohio State University and the City of Columbus, Campus Partners led the community planning in 1995 and 1996 which resulted in the comprehensive University Neighborhoods Revitalization Plan: Concept Document. -- Again with support from the university and city, Campus Partners led the development in 1997 and 1998 of A Plan for High Street: Creating a 21st Century Main Street. -- The city's Planning Division in 2004 and 2005 led the preparation of the Weinland Park Neighborhood Plan. Campus Partners participated in the plan's neighborhood-based advisory committee and provided resources to engage an urban planning firm to provide additional technical assistance. |
