Representatives of Undergraduate
Student Government have served on all of the major planning efforts and
community committees sponsored by Campus Partners, including the development
of South Campus Gateway. As an example, printed at right is the
resolution that the USG Senate adopted June 2, 2004, regarding the management
of the Gateway parking facility.

Whereas, the Undergraduate Student Government represents all undergraduate
students of the Ohio
State University; and
Whereas, the experience of students is a primary concern of the Campus
Partners planning efforts,
and the Campus Partners' Student Advisory Board solicits student
participation through periodic
forums, internships, work-study opportunities, presentations to student
organizations and surveys of
undergraduate and graduate students; and
Whereas, the Gateway parking garage will have 1,200 parking spaces and will
serve the patrons and
employees of the Gateway businesses, the residents of the Gateway housing,
and the people who work in the 88,000 square feet of offices space most of
whom will be university employees; and
Whereas, Campus Partners owns the Gateway parking garage, approves policies
for the Gateway parking garage, and is responsible for contracting with a
parking management company to establish the
parking and payment options for the Gateway parking garage;
Therefore, Let it Be Resolved, that the Undergraduate Student Government
strongly recommends Campus Partners to develop a permanent Buck ID payment
option for the Gateway parking garage, and to contract with a parking management
company that will accept Buck ID as a substitute for on-hand cash payment for
every of the 1,200 individual parking spaces of the Gateway parking garage.
